The pros and cons of buying and leasing property

The cost of buying or leasing property can often be one of an organisations largest outgoing. What should you consider when deciding whether to buy or lease a property? What is involved when leasing?  Leasing is an enforceable legal agreement that you cannot walk away from once you sign on the dotted line.  Depilation clauses, repairs, costs, service charges and the length of the lease term are some of the factors that every third sector board and senior management team needs to be aware of.  What is involved when buying?  What are the personal labilities for charity trustees?  Are there tax implications that you need to be aware of for both buying and leasing?
