Lessons learnt from statutory inquiries carried out by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland. Date

One of the key duties of the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland is to ensure that trustees comply with their legal obligations in managing charities, and to increase public trust and confidence in charities. They also have a statutory function to identify and investigate apparent misconduct or mismanagement in the administration of charities, and to take remedial or protective action. To date, the Commission have undertaken a range of statutory inquiries – the Commission’s highest form of investigation.  In this session the Commission will share the key lessons learnt from those inquiries.
