CO3 in partnership with Extra Care is delighted to announce the first in a series of three Workshops focussed on empowering middle tier manager/leaders to enhance growth and confidence across a range of Third Sector organisations.

Extra Care is Northern Ireland’s largest domiciliary care charity providing care for older people and dependent adults who can choose to remain living at home in comfort and with dignity. With a team of almost 500 people supporting each other to provide care, there is a strong sense of management that runs through the organisation.

Middle managers are the connectors between senior leaders and frontline employees who play a vital role in implementing successful change in your organisation. To thrive ‘in the middle’ requires deep resilience due to challenges; your control is low; pressure tends to be delegated from the top and you often don’t have the resources available to deliver what you need to get done.

We recognise that to empower and support middle tier managers we need to have a better understanding of your role and support your specific leadership needs.

A series of 3 interactive workshops will:

  • Explore the hallmarks of an effective middle tier leader
  • Provide tools, resources and support in developing and encouraging personal and leadership resilience
  • Develop concepts to overcome challenges to better equip yourself to face the everyday management decisions in your organisation
  • Empower you in your role to have the confidence to take the next step in your organisation

Through these three workshops, it is our aim to challenge thinking, provide support and empower innovation in your role.

The first of the three events will provide an opportunity to hear from a range of leaders from across the public, private & third sector, as well as a range of interactive sessions that will consider the nuances of middle managers and the leadership support that is needed to sustain and develop in your role.

The leadership panel will consist of:

  • Caroline van der Feltz, HR Director at Danske Bank
  • John McKee, CEO of Linkubator
  • Celine McStravick, CEO of NCB

The first workshop will be facilitated by Donal Laverty, Partner, Baker Tilly Mooney Moore.

The workshop is; “Leading Transformational Change From the Middle.”
