In Praise of Middle Managers: Leading from the Middle: Courage and Encouragement

Following the success of the first workshop in the “In Praise of Middle Managers” series, CO3 in partnership with Extra Care and Baker Tilly Mooney Moore, are excited to announce the next session.  This session will take place on Wednesday 5^th December.

This half day workshop will be titled Leading from the Middle: Courage and Encouragement

The workshop will address a number of challenging scenarios that Middle Managers regularly encounter.  We will adopt an interactive approach and utilise the wealth of experience within the room to address the following areas and allow participants to take away valuable insights.

• Conflict Management: Conflict often impedes progress while it consumes resources, takes time, has the potential to damage relationships and future outcomes.  We will look at how we can plan, prepare and manage conflict and find its true value.

• Difficult Conversations: Part of this preparation will be to empower you to have bold and brave conversations with your management and to encourage your employees to do the same.

• Performance Management: Many organisations use a “tick box” approach to performance management, missing the opportunity to develop and motivate employees. We will address key components of successful performance management and 5 key metrics to measure all staff. (Not for overview but looking at…Helpfulness, efficiency, quality of work, innovative thinking, alignment /adherence to company values/goals)

• Reward and Recognition: Feeling that your hands are tied with reward and recognition within your organisation?  We will explore current practices and look at further effective, creative ways to recognise and reward your staff.
