Financial Management SMT Group

As Leaders we all recognise that networking is an important aspect of the role in terms of developing our knowledge, relationships and alliances in the service of our organisations goals. Networking is rated as one of the key reasons why members tell us they join CO3.

We also know that our members really like to develop deeper and longer lasting peer relationships over a period of time.  That’s why we have set up a number of smaller peer groups who meet on a quarterly basis on specialist areas.  We have groups focusing on Health, New to Post CEO, Marketing and Comms, Human Resource Management to name but a few.

We are delighted to announce another new sub group focusing on Financial Management.  This group will be facilitated by Harbinson Mulholland, one of our Corporate Partners.

Harbinson Mulholland has more than 20 years of experience working with a number of locally based charities in a variety of sectors including health, education and the arts. Harbinson Mulholland currently has in excess of 80 audit clients in the private sector and over 30 clients within the charitable or not-for-profit sector.

This quarterly network series is aimed at the Directors and Senior Managers who are responsible for managing the financial accounts for the organisation. Financial management is one of the most important practices in management given the introduction of the Charity Commission and changes to how the VCSE will be funded in the future. So it makes good business sense to create peer networking opportunities for these individuals so that they can keep abreast of changes and continue to develop their skills and knowledge in this critical area.

The content of the sessions will be agreed by the participants who attend the initial meeting and each session will run over a lunchtime period and last approx. 1 ½ hours.  Places on each group will be limited.

The first date for this network series will be on 20 June, 12.00pm- 2pm at Harbinson Mulholland’s offices at Centre Point, 24 Ormeau Avenue.
