Treasuers' Forum

The Honorary Treasurer in a Third Sector organisation plays an important, but often unsung role. They help the trustee board to fulfil its obligation to provide financial oversight for the organisation. It is often the Treasurer to whom trustees look for advice, guidance and reassurance on all aspects of charities' financial management and reporting. The Treasurer also provides support for the Chair and Chief Executive. Therefore, CO3 have recently set up a Treasurer’s Forum, to provide a platform for advice, support, to share expertise and to promote good practice. The Treasurer’s Forum will be Chaired by Tony Clarke and is also kindly sponsored by  Clarke & Co. Accountants. 

The inaugural meeting was held on Thursday 30 June 2016 and the forum meets quarterly.

The Forum is open to those who currently, in the recent past or expect in the near future to take on the important role of Treasurer.  It is open to all members within the CO3 Trustee Network.  We see this an important platform to provide helpful information through updates and briefings.
